Two times at the Munich Hotel Monaco

We arrived in Munich on a rainy evening from Los Angeles on July 23rd. On the way to Hotel Monaco, our cab driver was so friendly and so enthusiastic about telling us the places we pssed by and places we should visit.  Being our first time here, we were excited and quite impressed with what we have seen and we couldn’t wait to explore!  After being dropped off where the Hotel Monaco sign is on Schillerstrasse, we couldn’t find the hotel entrance. It was actually on Adolf Kipler St.. My son & I were tired and jetlagged and coming up to the reception desk we were greeted with a warm, friendly smile by the hotel staff. We felt so welcome!  The rooms are quite charming and cozy with angel decorations.  My favorite one is the angel hanging on the chandelier.  The rooms are very clean and very comfortable bed. My son & I felt so comfortable.  The breakfast was sumptuos and delicious and typical Bavarian. We only stayed for one night but we liked it here so much that I reserved a room again for August on our way back to Los Angeles.  We are back in Munich at Hotel Monaco. The staff are so friendly.They really make your stay as comforatble as possible.  Their customer service is great and personal.  Christine and her staff are always smiling, just like all the angels hanging on the walls and ceilings.  We highly recommend this hotel because of the cleanliness, the service and the ever friendly Christine and her staff!

Many greetings from Honolulu, Hawai

Many Greetings from Honolulu, Hawaii. We started planning for our 2009 Europe trip early this year. We were looking for a central Hotel in Munich, which would offer a great value. After a lot of searching and sending e-mails we found The Hotel Monaco While we did not even get  replies from several of the hotels in Munich that we contacted, we were pleasantly surprised that the staff of the Monco Hotel replied immediately. The web site ws very informative and we got a good idea of what the hotel would be.The online reservation worked great and we got the confirmation right away. We also appreciated the many suggestioons the staff of the Hotel Monaco gave us when we contacted them before we arrived. On the day of our arrival it was raining “cats and dogs”, but coming to the warm welcome at the reception desk made us feel better immediately. The room we were given was coyz, nice and clean, and we immediately had the feeling that our stay would be very pleasant and comfortable. We suggest that you park the car before the check -in, since there is not parking or stopping n the street. Overall, the Hotel Monaco is a great value and we recommend it if you are looking for a fair price and a central location.

Stay in Munich

17-6-09 We loved the  Hotel Monaco in Munich. We found the hotel based on high ratings in Trip Advisor and reccommendations from Rick Steves. A great advantage is that it is just a block away from the main train station in Munich, which makes it very easy to take day trips out of the area using the Hotel Monaco as a base. We were greeted with a smile which made us feel right at home. Our room, as well as the dining room is very light and has a cheerful decor. The breakfast was wonderful and had several choices from the marmaldes, variety of cheeses, breads, fruits, and more. My wife and daughter found the hard boiled eggs wrapped in rabbit puppets, with happy faces painted on them, one of their favorites. The coffee is nice and strong to wake you up in the morning. The beds are very comfortable and the Hotel Monaco is family-oriented. The bed comforters were very soft. The hotel rooms have windows which alllowed us to have a nice breeze in the evening. The staff happily accommodated our requests. We would not hesitate to stay here again.. Thanks for everything!

Short stay in Munich

We have only two days to stay in Munich and so many things to do. We arrived early by train yesterday. Hotel Monaco is very convenient to the train station.. and our room was ready! That allowed us to unpack quickly and head back on the train to visit the Dachau monument.
Today, we have had a wonderful breakfast in the sunny room and we are planning to pick up bikes (again, from the train station) and head for the large parks around the outer edges of Munich. It looks like it should be a beautiful day for that.
This is one of the largest rooms we have had in our two week stay in Germany. We love having free internet access for the laptop we dragged across the Atlantic. The room is clean. And the staff has been very friendly and helpful.
No more time for typing… we must get going…

Hotel Hostel Monaco

I have been traveling for 10 days around europe and this is the best hotel that i have stayed by far.  It´s very clean and the rooms are well decorated and the beds are so comfortable especially after a long train ried.  It has a great location  near the train station and is in walking distances from the center of the town. the price is great if you compare it to any other hotel in the area. also compare to a hostel the price is still preatty good especially because you cn have your privacy. The best thing of the hotel is the people that work here they are really friendly and they go out of the way to help you so that you enjoy your stay. one should  come to Munich to experience the  german  culture and its people they are so friendly.  one should defently come and rent the bikes and go around the city it beautiful. the market place is so beautiful and the food is so great and so fresh. i cant wait to come back

Pension in Munich

Hotel Monaco is friendly ” bed and breakfast” like pension, which is both affordable and conveniently located ( two blocks away from the Haupt Bahnhof).  The ( Schutz Angel )  theme gives the hotel a motherly and homely feeling, but with just enough touch of cupid to make it romantic.  Although my stay was officially a business trip I felt on vacation here at Monaco.  Breakfast rocked and the light music hit the spot   When I do return for pleasure I’ll be sure to stay where the angels are, Hotel Monaco.  Munich itself was a little wet in Febuary, but warm to the senses.  I took a few walks, had some fine dinning and danced alittle all in the Stadt Mitte.  Munich is easy it seems.  I’ve been here a few times now in winter, spring, sommer, and fall and she always gives herself with open arms.  I’ll be always coming back for more and waiting to see what the next angel brings……….
