Since the relocation of the exhibition center from the center of the city to new location at the former airport Riem in January 1998, the MMI (Messe München International) has now had one of the most modern exhibition spaces in the world. 17 halls with a total of 180, 000 sqm exhibiting space as well as 360,000 sqm open area offer year-round space for well-known trade shows. What´s more, the MMI also the ICM are available - with direct connection to the new exhibiting space - as well as the Munich Order Center (M,O,C) in Freimann. In total, over 30,000 exhibitors from roughly 100 countres as well as 2 million visitiors participate yearly.

Trade fairs and exhibitions in Munich are leading events for the industry. They support the growth of the economy worldwide and play a key role. Munich is the heart of the German IT / high-tech industry and ranked as number 4 worldwide, after Silicon Valley, Boston and Tel Aviv. Furthermore the scope of Munich's economy covers the media, finance and the life sciences.

Public transportation

From our Hotel Monaco in the center of the city you can reach Munich International Trade Fair within 20 minutes from the main train station.
From 5:30 in the morning until midnight you can take the subway line U2 from main train station straight to the Munich Trade Fair Center / ICM (Station names: “Messestadt West” and “Messestadt Ost”)
Between 07:00am and 09:45am from main train station and between 02:45pm and 07:05pm from station “Messestadt Ost” the underground U2 runs at a 5 minutes interval.

Automobile

Munich International Trade Fair Center is directly located next to the motorway A94. Digital signs lead your way to the proper parking lots during fairs. To plan your routes by automobile you can use www.map24.com.
