Hotel Munich glossary: Bavaria Filmstudios
Is Europe’s largest filmmaking center. Production was begun here as early as1920. In the 1970s, the famous German film producer Rainer Maria Fassbinder, Wim Wender, and Herzog worked here. Stanley Kubrick shot his interiors for Path of Glory, and Bob Fosse produced Caberet with Liza Minelli. Tours take you through the sets of famous films like “The Neverending Story” or “Das Boot”. You can also watch films on the Showscan, a superwide movie screen. You can also enjoy Action Show and a demonstration of movie stunts.
