Hotel Munich glossary: Bayrhammer Gustl

Bayrhammer Gustl was born in munich in 1922. The bavarian actor of traditional bavarian theater has taken acting classes with Heinrich George at the Schiller theater in Berlin. After that he had many engagements at several theaters.
In Tv he became famous in the role of superintendant Veigl which he played from 1972 till 1981. But he never stopped playing at theaters of munich as well and one of his most famous part was in the thetre "Der Brandner Kasper und das ewige Leben".
Really famous he becam by a very different part: He played Meister Eder in the TV play for children "Pumuckl" written by Ellis Kraut. Bayrhammer died in 1993.
