Abbey Andechs, Kloster Andechs

Abbey Andechs is a popular destination for the locals, but also for tourists. It is located in diocese Augsburg, not far away from Munich. You can take the interurban train from the train station and it takes just 1 hour to the abbey. At the “holy mountain” there is an inn and a beer garden. Andechser beer and their food are very famous around the area of Munich. The church was built in a rococo style and belongs to the most famous and oldest pilgrimage churches in Bavaria. Since 1455 they brew their beer at abbey Andechs.
