Starnberger See, Starnberger Lake

The large lake is located 25 km far away from Munich. It is a famous and popular destination of tourists and also Munich residents. They enjoy it to walk around the lake, dander or drink a beer in one of the beer garden. Due to the scandalizing death of Fairytale King Ludwig II. in 1886, this lake become more famous. A Votive chapel and wooden cross in the lake are reminders of this event. You can reach it by car and interurban train. From the hotel it’s not a long distance. It also stops in Feldafing, Tutzing and Possenhofen ( here lived Sissi).
