- Review Hotel Monaco
Interesting sightseeings around munich
Hotel Monaco is a very good base to start your excursions into the upper Bavarian Countryside, because of the close trainstation, just a few steps away from the hotel.Of course the most famous trip is to the castle "Neuschwanstein", the King Ludwig´s castle, and to the Linderhof Palace. But nice too is a trip the Zugspitze, Germany´s highest peak, a tour around the Starnberger Lake, Chiemsee or Tegernsee.
Schloss Neuschwanstein:
King Ludwigs` world famous fairy-tale castle, completed in 1892. It is only about 100 km from Munich. Great location, 1.3 million visitors a year. Getting there: Bus tour or by car: A95 to Füssen, then B23 and B17 to Hohenschwangau. www.neuschwanstein.de
It´s very easy to organice a day trip to Salzburg, Garmisch-Patenkirchen, Berchtesgaden or Mittenwald.
Dachau Concentration Camp offers English-language tours of the camp year-round. Dachau was the first Nazi concentration camp. Today,it´s the most accessible camp for travelers and an effective voice from our recent but grisly past, pleading "Never again."
